Bread in Common open for business

30-Sep-2013

Donna Gradiska the General Manager of Bread in Common describes the restaurant as also a wine bar and part bakery with a very social atmosphere. The theme is based around the idea of sharing as a group and (possibly with a drink) enjoying one of the most ‘common’ foods eaten by the majority of cultures.  This, along with the variety of platters on offer is where the name ‘Bread in Common’ fits.

The restaurant will be open from breakfast through til dinner from 7am to 10pm Monday to Thursday, and 7am through til midnight on Friday to Sunday.  The lengthened operating hours is where our Time & Attendance solution becomes very cost effective.

As Bread in Common will have a number of peak periods during one business day, there will need to be a large range of shifts for staff in order to compensate.  This could start from: full-times working 8-hour days at different start times throughout the week; to casual’s coming in and doing 4 hour shifts during a busy weekend period.  With all the staff constantly coming and going our solution saves Donna the hassle of having to constantly monitor their total hours or whether they may be late to work or from break.  This is all measured through clock-in/clock-out kiosks that read each staff member’s finger vein (not fingerprint).
